From early morning participants of the Third International Irena Sendlers Congress were coming to Warsaw. Solemnly welcomed, all schools were presenting their banners. The banners were brought also by representatives of 30 Polish schools. The ceremony was attended by Janina Zgrzembska a daughter of Irena Sendler, Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka – President of the Educational Foundation of Jan Karski, Stanisław Świerczewski – Vice President of the Polish Society of the Righteous Among the Nations. June 9, in the auditorium of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews Polin a ceremonial gala was organized. During the meeting prizes were handed at the International Literary-Artistic Competition: 'Irena Sendler History-Present-Future 2015′. We were privileged to welcome the noble guests : Janina Zgrzembska, Elzbieta Ficowska, Joanna Sobolewska-Pyz, Hanna Rechowicz, Anna Mieszkowska. Eight outstanding people acting on behalf of people in need received the statuettes. After the meeting in the auditorium, the Congress’ participants visited the exhibition in the museum. The morning meeting with Mrs. Renata Piątkowska and Mrs. Malvina Kożurno was very moving. They spoke mainly about the realities of the world described in the book 'All my mothers’ , the Warsaw ghetto and the activities of Irena Sendler. Thanks to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights all participants of the Congress received a copy of the book autographed by the author. Pokaz slajdów
At the end of the three-day Congress participants went to the Copernicus Science Centre and the Royal Castle.
